- Objectives:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on biodiversity and wild animals
- Programme topics:
- Biodiversity: wild animals and habitats
- Biodiversity conservation, habitat suitability, minimum viable population
- Target species: flagship species, indicator species, keystone species, umbrella species, linkage species, economic species, vulnerable species, endangered species
- Conservation target
- Integration of biodiversity (fauna) into forest management plans
- Case study: Field work
- Assessment:
Course requirements include a written midterm exam (30%), term projects, presentation performance and oral exam (20%) and a written final exam (50%)
