  1. Objectives:
    The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on biodiversity and wild animals
     
  2. Programme topics:
    1. Biodiversity: wild animals and habitats
    2. Biodiversity conservation, habitat suitability, minimum viable population
    3. Target species: flagship species, indicator species, keystone species, umbrella species, linkage species, economic species, vulnerable species, endangered species
    4. Conservation target
    5. Integration of biodiversity (fauna) into forest management plans
    6. Case study: Field work
       
  3. Assessment:
    Course requirements include a written midterm exam (30%), term projects, presentation performance and oral exam (20%) and a written final exam (50%)
